Pharmacy Minor Illness Service

You can get advice and FREE treatment (if you need it) from your pharmacy without a prescription.  You simply register with the chemist of your choice.  You don't need an appointment and you can go along at a time that suits you.  You will only need to attend the GP if your pharmacist feels that you need to.  The Minor Ailment Service covers the following illnesses:

Acne

athlete's foot 

backache  

Cold sores 

constipation 

cough  

Diarrhea 

earache 

eczema and allergies 

Haemorrhoids (piles) 

hay fever 

headache  

Head lice 

indigestion 

mouth ulcers 

Nasal congestion 

pain 

thrush 

Sore throat 

threadworms 

warts and verrucae 

Females 18-65 with simple Urine Infection can now obtain antibiotic direct from the chemist without a prescription.  (restrictions apply)
